Today I bought a pair of brake pads for it. The bike is so advanced that the brake pads cost just barely under 80% of what the bike cost: $3.99, of the bike's $5.00. I'm hoping to start commuting by bike, at least some of the time. It's 8 miles each way, and I believe that I've found a route that has four closed gates that prevent through-car-traffic, and a park that does likewise.
