more zia places

Wednesday, I mentioned the new Python-based command-line weblog tool bzero. So I brought up a weblog using it; check out http://www.pycs.net/zia/ .

Reminded me to look at my freeZope web space, http://zia.freezope.org/ , and it comes out weird in a similar way as Bill Finch's trip report does. So I (or Microsoft or Apple) must have screwed something up in my I.E. preferences on Mac OS X. It's almost like the HTML tables getting inverted. Weird. Oh well, I plan to get Jaguar next week and install it, so maybe it'll just go away at that point.

Lake 10,199

Lake 10,199, beautifully blue and glass-smooth, in King's Canyon That would be Lake 3109 in the metric system. Bill Finch runs the Sierra Hikers' Webring, and has quite a few outstanding trip reports on the web, under http://www.sierrahiker.com/ . Since I'm planning to be in King's Canyon next month, I thought I ought to re-read one of the trip reports. I haven't gotten to go on any backpacking trips this summer, so the image of this lake is really stuck in my head this week. It's from this page of this Monarch Divide trip report. I don't know why the report comes out in 7 very narrow columns on Mac OS X — it looks fine on I.E. on Windows.
