Here's a story from the Rocky Mountain News [September 2, 2003, "Dem hopefuls crack Colorado checkbooks"] about Democratic presidential candidates raising money in Colorado. The Rocky quotes Ken Salazar, commenting on the lack of a primary here, as saying, "What will happen is that the presidential candidates - President Bush and all of them - will come to our state, but they come here to get money and then they leave," Salazar said. "There won't be the focus on Colorado issues."
