2004 Presidential Election
Update: National Poll numbers from the Daily Kos.
Coyote Gulch has been singing the praises of weblogs for candidates since early in the Denver election this year. Here's an essay from Dave Winer explaining his view of weblogs to the candidates running for president. Says Winer, "In this piece I outline advice for people running campaigns in a world with weblogs. In the spirit of the Web, the advice is available to all. These are just my opinions. Your mileage may vary, and the advice may change as the campaign goes forward." In the spirit of the web, the advice is available to all - what a nice line.

Denver November 2003 Ballot
According to the Rocky Mountain News [September 3, 2003, "Campaign money flowing"] the race is on to raise money for the November election. The big money is flowing to the ballot initiative to allow video lottery terminals at five front range race tracks. Here's another article from the Rocky [September 3, 2003, "Video lottery draws opposition"] about opposition to VLT's. From the article, "The statement said the video lottery terminals are direct competitors with slot machines and other games found in Cripple Creek, Central City and Black Hawk. Twenty-eight percent of the gaming tax collected from casinos in those towns goes to the Colorado Historical Fund, the statement said."
