2004 Presidential Election

Latest Zogby Poll regarding the Democratic Presidential Nomination in New York "Former Vermont Governor Dr. Howard Dean enjoys a large lead (21 - 10%) over retired General Wesley Clark in polling of likely Democratic primary voters in New York State.  Massachusetts Senator John Kerry and Missouri Congressman Richard Gephardt are tied at 7%."

Lawrence Lessig comments on the need for the presidential candidates to stand up for the Internet. Says Lessig, "What made this campaign fun at the start was the thought that finally, a Democrat would wage a campaign where he said what was right and true, as the only way to win the passion of a generation. Yet apparently, cautious and careful have returned. Maybe that[base ']s necessary to win a campaign [~] I have no clue about that. But if that is so, I am sorry it is necessary."
