Social Security
Stygius: "The trio--who got event tickets from Rep. Bob Beauprez--were removed by a GOP staffer. They were profiled as being unsympathetic to Social Security privatization for because their car had a 'No Blood For Oil' bumpersticker on it."

Terri Schiavo
ABC News: "And in a scathing attack on politicians who got involved in the case, the court added that the White House and lawmakers 'have acted in a manner demonstrably at odds with our Founding Fathers' blueprint for the governance of a free people our Constitution.'"
Mt. Virtus: "Another amazing development in the Terri Schiavo case, while I'm still recovering from the shock of agreeing with Jesse Jackson on something."

2008 Presidential Election
Oliver Willis: "There is a serious move on within the Republican party to draft Dick Cheney to be their candidate in 2008...I think Bush's win notwithstanding, much of the talk of a fundamental conservative realignment in America has been premature to say the least. It's still a game of inches."

Weblogs
BeSpacific: "At News-Record.com's homepage, there is a prominent link to the dozen topical blogs available to readers, a number that far surpasses that of any other national or local paper."
Political Wire: "Joe Territo reports Sen. Jon Corzine's (D-NJ) gubernatorial campaign 'is planning to seriously use weblogs to network with the public.'"
Bull Moose: "The blogosphere is deeply polarized between left and right. However, the crisis in Darfur would seem to be an issue that can unite blogs from the National Review to the Daily Kos. Why not have a 'Blog for Darfur' day when the entire blogosphere calls for world intervention to stop the killing?" The Moose can count on the Coyote.

Denver May 2005 Election
Supporters of the new Denver Justice Center are hitting the airwaves according to the Rocky Mountain News [March 29, 2005, "Ads back justice center"]. From the article, "Supporters of a proposed $378 million Denver justice center began a quarter-million-dollar television ad campaign Monday. The first spot is a low-key, documentary-style ad with no voice- over. It shows scenes from inside the county jail at Smith Road, emphasizing what even justice center opponents acknowledge are its substandard and dilapidated conditions."
Here's the coverage of the ad campaign in support of Referendum 1A from the Denver Post [March 29, 2005, "TV commercial touts plan to expand city jail, courts"].
Here's a short article from the North Denver News about local involvement in the new Justice Center.
Here's the Denver Justice Center roundup from the Cherry Creek News.

Colorado Water
SB 62 was killed by the state house yesterday, according to the Rocky Mountain News [March 30, 2005, "Water measure sinks"]. From the article, "The House killed a bill Tuesday that would have limited the amount of water that can be sent downstream to improve kayaking. The vote was a victory for Colorado tourism but a defeat for farmers and developers. Senate Bill 62 would have capped at 350 cubic feet per second the amount of water that owners of recreational water rights could call for."
