2004 Presidential Election

John Kerry and John Edwards are here in Colorado today. They will be starting their trek to the Democratic National Convention in Aurora, according to the Rocky Mountain News [July 23, 2004, "From the cradle to the capital"]. From the article, "John Forbes Kerry was born at Fitzsimons on Dec. 11, 1943, while his father - an Army test pilot - received treatment for tuberculosis. The family returned to Massachusetts in March 1944 when Kerry was 3 months old. The presidential candidate plans to return to the building today with his family for a private tour before a public rally that will begin his trek to the Democratic National Convention in Boston - a campaign that will take the candidate (in the words of his campaign) 'from his birthplace to the birthplace of America.'" Here's the coverage from the Denver Post [July 23, 2004, "Democratic duo greeted by whistles, applause at DIA"].

If you're planning to go to the Kerry/Edwards rally TalkLeft reports that the event has been moved to the "The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver. (1510 Clarkson Street). Gates open at 10 a.m."

Taegan Goddard: "New Hampshire - Kerry 50%, Bush 45% (Granite State Poll)."

Update: Dave Winer has created an RSS aggregator for all of the bloggers at the Democratic National Convention. What a great idea. Bryan Bell's design is nice and clean. Well done fellows.
