A picture named googlewwdsmall.jpgWorld Water Day

Egg on my face. Today is World Water Day. Coyote Gulch must have been focusing too much on Colorado Water issues.

Well Google knew. Click on the graphic to see a screen shot of their banner today. Thanks to Water Resources for the link.

Colorado Water

Aurora hopes to buy a new reservoir from the Central Colorado Water Conservancy District, according to the Rocky Mountain News [March 22, 2005, "Aurora OKs water-storage deal"]. From the article, "The new reservoir has the capacity to hold 3,300 acre-feet of water, or just more than 1 billion gallons of water. In addition to the money, which will be paid from the Aurora utility's cash reserve, the conservancy district will also have the use of Aurora's water rights to the lower South Platte River for the next 20 years."

Here's the coverage from the Denver Post [March 22, 2005, "Help on tap for city, farmers"].
