Colorado Water
SB 62 was killed by the state house yesterday, according to the Rocky Mountain News [March 30, 2005, "Water measure sinks"]. From the article, "The House killed a bill Tuesday that would have limited the amount of water that can be sent downstream to improve kayaking. The vote was a victory for Colorado tourism but a defeat for farmers and developers. Senate Bill 62 would have capped at 350 cubic feet per second the amount of water that owners of recreational water rights could call for."
