Colorado Water

From today's Denver Post: "A controversial cap on water allocations for whitewater kayak 'play parks' took another step closer to law Tuesday, winning the approval of the House Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Resources Committee. Senate Bill 62 has pitted tourism interests and whitewater enthusiasts against municipalities and agriculture. Before voting for the bill, committee member Rep. Ray Rose, R-Montrose, said it was of historic importance as tourism, development and agriculture collide in a time of water scarcity."
