Harmony Animal Hospital Anne-Candy Lewis DVM

If you're in need of a good vet in San Diego (especially if you have an older and wiser greyhound), check out the Harmony Animal Hospital in Hillcrest. Candy Lewis rocks.

This is also a test to see if Google can come up with something a little more precise when I search for Harmony Animal Hospital San Diego (which is a whole lot of nothing as of today). Maybe I'll own that totally common search string.

What Do You Get When You Cross Indians and Gambling?

The Mashantucket PequotsFoxwood Resort CasinoNot quite sure, but they've done it with the Pequot Indian Museum and the Foxwoods Resort Casino. Probably lots of money is what you get. Probably not much for us (just throwing that reverse-jinks on any potential luck).

Hey...the Pequots (however you pronounce it) were in Noank too...

"When the Pequot War formally ended, many tribal members had been killed and others placed in slavery or under the control of other tribes. Those placed under the rule of the Mohegans eventually became known as the Mashantucket (Western) Pequots and were given land at Noank in 1651. Willimantic Is About 35 Miles from Noank, Connecticut

Willimantic Brewing Company logoOf all the Connecticut Breweries, the Willimantic Brewing Company and Main Street Cafe looks to be the closest. And it got some great reviews too!

Taking A Walk Across The Brooklyn Bridge

There's been some talk about walking across the Brooklyn Bridge and getting some ice cream at the Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory, although we may actually be walking icicles when the trek is completed. The factory's not open on Monday, so Sunday afternoon will probably be our walk time, which will probably be good if there's any sun available.
