Back In Noank, CT From the Blizzard of 2003

We made it back this afternoon to Noank, CT from NYC on surprisingly good roads. What a great time doing not much more than watching it snow. OK, so we ate a bit, drank a bit, and saw a great show.

Just a quick bit about "Mamma Mia", the show built around ABBA tunes, that we saw at the Winter Garden Theatre last night. The cast was really good with Tina Maddigan sounding excellent as Sophie (and showing some nice moves in the end-of-show dance numbers). It was a pretty decent crowd, despite the snow and cold. Inside it was hot and bouncy. Like an ABBA anthem!

Stopped by Lanagan's pub for a couple of beers before heading back to the Millenium and crashing.

The snow was coming down huge this morning, but we packed and headed out. Made it back.

Oh, and I was on Good Morning America this morning. Hehe. Pictures and story later. Flying home to kiddies tomorrow.

Brendan Loy (or at least the parents of) And The View From CT for Blizzard 2003

Don't know exactly how reading Doc's Live From The Blogosphere post got me there, but Brendan Loy's parents are digging out in Connecticut, where I'm blogging and visiting from today. Looks like we here in Noank are kind-of close to Newington.

Anyway, looks like the Live event was lots of fun for all.
