LED spectra:

Gammatron points to a discussion on the CandlePower Forum about the quality of light from LED sources. Craig Johnson of the LED Museum posts a fine spectrograph of a green LED showing the green peak to be about 50 nanometers wide.

The spectra above were made from LED devices on my desk: a red astro-light (used to protect dark adapted eyes during stargazing sessions), a green power lamp on a hard drive and a blue LED from a keychain flashlight. Interestingly, all three color LEDs have wide spectra.
