Trivia: In 1984 I moved to Los Angeles. Some neighbors of mine who belonged to the "big hair - metal set" invited me to a Guns & Roses party. Being the ever so naive young lad I declined because somehow I thought bringing guns and roses to a party wasn't very kosher.

I'd like to think that I'm not all that stupid. But can someone tell me what the big deal with VisualXBeans is? Specifically - how is not just another desperate implementation of XML. Whats next? I flush my toilet and it translates my poop to XML before sending it to the city sewer? Maybe I'm just getting old and jaded, but not everything needs to be converted to XML. Its kinda like saying "wow we have this wonderful way of representing UI elements in ASCII" (since ASCII has been extremely prevalent in the past)

Good morning. For some reason I was thinking of the German word "Stammtisch" this morning. A Stammtisch is a table typically found in a village pub that has been specifically set aside for the regulars in this pub. Consider that most villages have a pub and you can imagine that its one of those things found all over the country. The only place I have seen in the US with a real Stammtisch is "Rockenwagners" in Venice CA. Funny, the Stammtisch is such a foreign concept that the reviewer in this link called it a community table for singles. In Germany you usually find married men sitting around the Stammtisch playing Skat whilst trying to get away from their wifes for a few hours.
