Disney Shifting to Linux for Film Animation [NyTimes - Technology]

Living in LA I can tell you that studios are such wannabe's its hilarious. None of them - and I mean none- are trendsetters. They let the little guys like Dreamworks blaze the trails and then adopt much much later. I just finished talking to Universal about a system that is rolling out and uses classic ASP. No plans to update it. .NET wasn't even remotely on their horizon.

More contributions to an already super build tool. I'd given some thought the lack of version control, and I agree that it's necessary. It's interesting to see John's solution (as it's quite different from what I'd been rolling around in my head).
