Time's Person of the Year punt. Choosing Giuliani instead of bin Laden was a clear cave-in to the magazine's business priorities. But the rest of the U.S. press isn't setting a much better example. [Salon.com]
Punt? They dropped the ball!

I saw a show on the man behind this company tonight on CBC Newsworld. He's been doing some extraordianary stuff for years and so few people are benefiting from his work. Have a look at the planes he's designed.

CBC.CA - The National On December 7, The CBC decided to take The National off the air while a contract dispute between the CBC and its technicians continues. In place of The National, television viewers can see a program of news and currentaffairs.
Well we're back now. Time to update the website. I watched The National tonight and there was a great doc on a photographer in Montreal. He'd taken a photo of Jack and Jackie in a ticker tape parade in NYC in the early '60's. He sold a one time use to the New York Times and they ran it on the front page. Forty years later he sees the photo for sale. The NYT claims they own the print and can sell it. He's fought back. The paper sent him the photo but claim they still own it.
