Michael Fraase: "Anthony Collen is a home-town journalism student. He's written an article, Ham Journalism, that attempts to draw the distinction between big and little "J" journalism through the analogy of weblogging and amateur radio. Nicely done." [Jake's Radio 8.0 Blog - Made with MacOS X!]
Interesting. I'm not so much interested in journalism. But I do think every writer should have a blog. It would raise the standard of writing for blogs for one thing. But it also provides a venue by which to extend your reach to your audience.

Computer News: Apple's iPod Continues To Defy the Naysayers
Great! I do wish they had a less expensive version. Younger kids don't need gigs worth of MP3's.

CBC News: B.C. slashes 'unsustainable' public service The B.C. government announced plans Thursday to eliminate at least 11,700 jobs in what's believed to be the deepest public sector cuts in Canadian history.
Wow. My sympathies to the people in BC. Let's hope you don't get your very own own Walkerton.

MacInTouch: Mac news, information and analysis [Pat Ramsey] "Under OS X, you can tell Software Update to make an update inactive (Update menu, Make Inactive), which removes it from the list so it doesn't keep popping up when you check it. I found this very useful for ignoring all the printer driver updates, which don't apply to my situation. Should you later want to install one of those inactive updates, you can select "Show Inactive Updates" from the Update menu."
Handy tip. I guess it pays to look through menu items!
