Richard Margison just left the studio. He dropped in to hear a couple arias from his new CD. We're in the middle of the first edit right now. I think it's going to be called "Viva Verdi!"
We listened to "Di quella pira" from Il Travatore. Wow! This is really extraordinary singing. Neil says he listened to a number of other famous singers doing this aria on CD and that this version blows them all away. I believe it.

WinPlanet reviews Radio 8. They say it might be the biggest thing since Pagemaker. "Radio 8 is a jaw-dropping jump forward in accessible online publishing." Yeah! [Scripting News]
The reactions are interesting. To me Radio 8 is a part of a long development. It doesn't feel like such a revolutionary thing to me because we had similar, and in some ways better tools with Radio 8. But I'm very pleased to see these tools get some recognition.

Dual processor 1 GHz G4's from Apple. Very nice. I need a new machine here at work for my new Sonic system . . . arriving sometime in the next few months. Since Sonic doesn't run on OS X there's little point in having the dual processor machine. But a single processor 933 MHz would be just fine.
