.< 11:15:15 PM >

I just finished watching CBC TV's Life & Times episode on Peter Gzowski. It was made as he was retiring from Morningside. The sad thing was listening to all the talk of the future. Everyone was waiting for him to write books. But now, listening between the lines, I keep hearing forboding in what people are saying. The hope for the future was an axious one, as though there was concern about how much of a future there would be.

I never introduced myself to Gzowski. I used to see him around the halls of the building. Once or twice I probably knodded a greeting and I remember distinctly that he returned it at least once.

I saw him most recenlty some time in the last year. He had the oxygen tank, the tubes up his nose, and he looked quite frail. It's not as though I ever saw him looking robust and youthful. But this was a shock. I guess I assumed it was temporary.

There's a fabulous site about Gzwoski at cbc.ca.

After I took Olivia home I fired up iTools and imported the pictures. This was my first try with iTools. What a pleasure. How often can you say that about a piece of software. Just an absolute breeze and it does just about everything I want it to do. Loading the pictures up to the site could hardly have been easier.

Today we had Olivia's birthday party. We went to see Snow Dogs (which the kids loved and which I have to say wasn't as bad as I thought it would be). She turns eight tomorrow. There are pictures at my iTools site.

I've been staying up way too late re-installing Radio 8 and setting it up to mirror to my canuck page. Here's hoping it works.

Hmmmm. Perhaps I have to flip my home page first.
