For some time, whenever I tried to do a Find across my entire Radio database I got an error that said something like "unexpected data type encountered". Finally tonight I set about to track down the problem. It turned out to be something in the first table at suites.blox.odbTypes. I forgot to make a note of exactly what it was called before I deleted it but it was something like '***old***testing'. Since stuff in here was depricated I just deleted the whole table.

I tried searching again and got quite a bit further but got the same error message. It turned out that system.verbs.apps.Eudora had something odd in it. But this is not the standard version of the Eudora verbs but an updated version by a third party which I downloaded and installed some time ago with Frontier. It seems to have become corrupt. I stepped back to the original version. I hadn't used any of the scripts since I moved up to OS X.

With those two tables deleted things searching is back to normal.

Dan Bricklin's first impressions of the Tablet PC. [Scripting News] 'If you read a lot on a PC, and move your laptop around a lot, and have benefited from 802.11, and don't mind using early software that works but is basic (like the original VisiCalc was), and are in the market for a new laptop, take the next step and move up to a tablet.'
Well, that almost sounds like me. OK Apple. What have you got in mind?
