While some Canadian troops will remain in Afghanistan most of the troops will return this month to Canada. To help them adjust to Canadian norms, they will spend a week on the American Pacific island of Guam. 11:16:10 PM

The National Post has details of a story in Soldier of Fortune that reports that Canadian snipers killed more than 20 Taliban and al-Qaida fighters during fighting last year in the Shah-i-Kot Valley when American troops were pinned down by enemy fighters. Among the kills was one from over 2,400 metres, which could be the longest sniper kill ever. 11:14:45 PM
