The US Democratic Party just found its election issue. From the New York Times: An analysis of Mr. Bush's plan by Deloitte & Touche shows that the income tax reductions are smallest for low-income workers, especially single people without children, and are potentially huge for people at the very top. In general, the dollar value of proposed income tax cuts climbs roughly in line with a person's income. But the biggest chunk of Mr. Bush's $674 billion package is a call to eliminate taxes on corporate dividends, and that change would overwhelmingly benefit the wealthiest 5 percent of taxpayers. 11:53:20 PM ![]() |

I wonder when any interesting parts of Apple’s new Safari web browser (based on Konqueror ) will appear in Mozilla and other open source browsers derived from the Mozilla project. Apple claims that Safari is three times faster than Internet Explorer 5.2.2. on loading web pages. Unless IE is totally busted how is this possible? Apple should have provided the tests they used to back this claim. 11:27:35 PM ![]() |
