Good move?

Nvidia will design and produce all of the graphics boards using its upcoming NV30 chip, leaving OEM producers the less powerful NV31 and NV34 chips. Nvidia will sell the complete boards to the OEMs to resell. The claim is that this will allow for more reliable products as the NV30 is simply too complex for third parties to design boards around.

This is not exactly what Nvidia`s now dead and acquired rival 3dfx did when it decided to buy STB and produce and sell all Voodoo 3 cards itself but is fairly close. Could OEMs decide that Nvidia is not leaving them enough opportunities to create their own products and switch to ATI, which does sell individual chips. (via Arstechnica)

Volunteers of Hate

Since its in Salon.com’s Premium section I didn’t read the rest of the article on volunteers/activists/protesters/morons that go to the West Bank and Gaza to "protect Palestinians" against Israeli soldiers and Jewish settlers. However but I’m going to guess that when Matt Horton left the West Bank he didn’t spend time riding buses in Jerusalem in solidarity with Israelis.

In fact he supports Hamas, if you ignore the little matter of the suicide bombers. An article in the Elmhurst College Leader on one of his talks states:

In regards to suicide bombing the most infamous form of Palestinian resistance, Horton said, "The U.S. media has portrayed HAMAS, the most notorious user of suicide bombings, falsely. Although the military wing of HAMAS does use suicide bombers, the larger social wing of HAMAS concerns itself with getting medical supplies for hospitals, getting aid to victims, and educating the Palestinian people."

Other that Mrs. Lincoln how was the play?
