The Observer defends itself on charges of being Judeophobia, having the 'hatred or fear of Jews' by saying it is only anti-Zionist. One defence was it saying that without Israel, Jews in other countries would not have to defend Israel and so be accused of dual loyalties. In actual fact without poor reporting from the media some as The Observer, Jews in other countries would not have to defend Israel in the first place.

The Observer co-offender The Guardian follows up by giving space to reports of "the end of Zionism" and the end of a two-state solution in favour of an Arab majority state encompassing Israel.

Both ideas that must have Tom Paulin and other writers for The Guardian jumping for joy.
