In what could be their last game at Olympic Stadium the Montreal Expos lost 14-4 to t he Atlanta Braves. Meanwhile Roy Halladay led the Toronto Blue Jays to a 6-0 win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park improving his record to 21-6. This matches the franchise mark for most wins in a season set by Jack Morris (1992) and equalled by Roger Clemens (1997).

It’s odd that an article describing the growth of Spanish in Israel due to the arrival of Argentine Jews and the broadcast of Argentine telenovelas does not mention the roots of Sephardic Jews in Spain or the Ladino language which is Hebrew influenced Spanish.

Want to put a lojack on your child?

The Wall Street Journal’s Walter S. Mossberg looks at the Wherify GPS Locator for Kids which is a watch like bracelet that can be locked into place preventing your child or those dastardly kidnappers from removing it.

Or at least kidnappers without a knife or pair of scissors.

The GPS functionality didn’t work well, unless the child was by a convenient window being in a building would prevent the bracelet from being located.

X-bit labs reports that Intel has unveiled its pricing roadmap for the next two quarters, the key dates will be the previously announced price drop on October 26 and a newly announced date of February 15th. Between these two dates Intel will release the Prescott CPU at a speed of 3.20 and 3.40GHz in November and 2.80 and 3.0GHz CPU next year. With the later price drop a Prescott 2.80GHz will be $178 US in batches of 1000.

The next generation Tejas chips with a 1066MHz Front Side Bus will come in fourth quarter 2004 and may be compatible with later Prescott motherboards.
