Belgium highest court dismissed war crimes complaints Wednesday against former President H. Bush and Secretary of State Colin Powell for their roles in the 1991 Gulf War and against Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon for massacres by Christian militia in Lebanon, ruling the country no longer has a legal basis to charge them. The ruling came after changes to jurisdiction law required that human rights complaints could only be filed if the victim or suspect was a Belgian citizen or long-term resident at the time of the alleged crime. 9:49:28 PM ![]() |
With Tuesday’s introduction by AMD of the AMD Athlon 64 3200+ and Athlon 64 FX-51 CPUs there are numerous reviews (AnandTech, HotHardware, SharkeyExtreme, Tech Report, etc) on the Internet comparing these chips to each other and to older Athlons and Pentiums and Intel’s surprise spoiler, the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition. Like the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition which is an enhanced and rebadged Xeon MP server chip, the Athlon 64 FX-51 is an enhanced version of a CPU designed for servers, in this case AMD’ s Opteron chip.
