Intel has announced it will produce a CPU specially designed for the gaming market. The Intel Pentium Processor with HT (Hyperthreading) Technology Extreme Edition is a 3.2-GHz chip based on the Xeon MP which has a level 3 cache. An 800-MHz front-side bus was added to replace the standard Xeon 533-MHz front-side bus. The chip also contains 2 Mbytes of level-3 cache, and will work with existing "Springdale" and "Canterwood" chipsets. It will be available in 30 to 60 days. 11:08:08 PM
