Sun goes after Microsoft, sans lawyers
The battle between Sun and Microsoft took a new, non-litigious twist last week at the JavaOne conference when Sun announced that it would open portions of its Java Web services to the Open Source community. As our own Lori MacVittie discovered, this move won't really help Open Source developers, but it may just give the enterprise an alternative to the Microsoft .NET mobile initiative.
