In browsing the news today, I noticed that the highly touted "blade" strategy that's worked so well for servers is now being considered for workstations by a little Texas company called ClearCube. According to Clearcube, you can just toss those clunky Dells for a single, slim rack of CPUs that will cost less in cap X and require less management/maintenance.

Lest you think this is a startup pipe dream, Clearcube has already deployed one such solution at my good neighbor, Hill Air Force Base.

It may sound strange, but all I can say is anything that gets me into an Apple Xserve, can't be wrong.
