Friday was an absolutely incredible day: sunny, no wind, warm, perfect blue skies, etc. When I rolled into work at 8:30 AM, the parking lot was basically deserted. Everyone had blue sky fever.
Well, I managed to work the morning. But finally, around 12:30 PM, I gave up and beat feet up into the mountains for an afternoon of geocaching. The weather was just too fabulous to stay inside - especially when the weekend forecast was for heavy rain. In Alaska, if you snooze, you lose on the weather front.
I had an absolute blast - the weather was beyond perfect - it must have been close to 80 degrees. In the space of two hours, I did quite a bit of hiking and polished off three caches along Powerline Pass. All of this, and I still managed to make it back to work by 4:00 PM!
Here's a squinty me with Cache With a View. If you look behind me, you can see the Anchorage Bowl.

A very gnarly minature spruce forest. It looks like something out of Lord of the Rings. The big white bucket in the lower lefthand corner is the Powerline Music Mix cache.
