On Monday, the Ski Boy and I winged our back north. We had a great time in Florida, but it sure is good to be home. If for nothing else than to cool down.

If I had to pick one word to describe our trip, it would be "hot". For the ten days we were in Sarasota, each day's high was in the mid 90's. Which wouldn't be quite so bad, except that Peter's parents don't believe in setting the thermostat below 82 degrees. As a result, our little guest bedroom was stiffling hot - probably 85 degrees or higher each night. So, sleep was tough. It got to the point where I was a thermostat bandit - after the parents tottled off to bed, I would sneak out and set the thermostat down to 79 degrees.

It's nice to be home where extra blankets are required!!!!
