Played around with tcpillust’s configure file until the blasted thing compiled. Had to change powf to pow in one of the source files, button.c.
I tried it out, and it works on my XDarwin system. Yay me!
Though something Steve Mcconnell wrote, something about compile-and-pray iterations, bothers me. You should know what your language or tool is doing. But now I have a working tcpillust, so I’ll probably forget everything now.

How my mind works:
Okay, I wanted to think of a verb for making two timelines conform. So I think “orthogonalize,” which is never the word I think it is. Straight (right) angles versus the straightened lines (orthography). But orthography has a different connotation, more to do with propriety. Remembering this, I think “Procrustean” which of course is not a verb.
Dict.org isn’t a help—except it gives me conform. But that’s a bottom-up concept. I want something like “make conform.”
I went to Dictionary.com for the Roget’s Thesaurus section. “Conform”—after looking through the categories that come up for this, I come up with synchronize, which would work if that were all I wanted this verb to do—but I want to Procrustinate (ahem) the timelines to accommodate all the events. Harmonize is closer, but carries the wrong connotations. Homogenize is the best I came up with.
“Make uniform” on Google comes up with Xrefer’s entry.

Last night, after Ron arranged for the tickets, Ed brought Din to the station. Din and I ate at Lindy’s, then we went to the Knicks-Hornets game. Met Joel deCastro (Tita Lete’s son) there, got his card. Amazing.
Did my typical game behavior, which is why I don’t often go.
Ed met us in the station. I wanted to see if Din wanted to see the towers of light but she wasn’t game. She got upset that I was being overconcerned about her on the train. Kept on calling her Yen, which didn’t help.
Yen, Din, and I slept in one big pile on the couch until about three, when they went up. I left the Sky Cries Mary Return to the Inner Experience out for Din in the morning, as well as the MXPX Let It Happen.
