In the middle of doing taxes. Ble-ach (pronounced: blee-yack, not bleeeeeach).

I work (when I am on the bench) some three blocks away from the WTC, and we had shut down for two weeks afterwards. Does that qualify me for the 11 Sep relief? No, just to be safe.

Ugh! TurboTax for Mac is a Classic only application, which seems to mean it can’t take advantage of my DSL connection. But if I restart, I don’t have the DSL settings in place in Classic, nor can I find the password. Damn you Quicken!

Just in case: current uptime: 3:08PM up 4 days, 18:08, 5 users, load averages: 3.13, 2.59, 2.36.

Ugh. In order to see what all the Oddpost   hullabaloo was all about, I had set OmniGroup’s   OmniWeb for Mac OS X to pretend to be MSIE 6 for Windows last night to get the source files, which don’t render correctly on OmniWeb anyway. I forgot to reset the prefs, so Radio is giving me problems with the post ActiveX (YUCK) control.

Maybe I should try it with Virtual PC? Sounds like too much work.

"The great tragedy of science--the slaying of a beautiful hypothesis by an ugly fact." --T. H. Huxley. By way of Sam Ruby

I guess Huxley has priority over Robert Glass, but I like Glass&rsquo's quote better. Oops, better citation here.
