CEC Statement on Human Cloning Prohibition Act The relentless pressure of the scientific community to push forward in this area almost seems unavoidable. A significant number of people in the world are committed to cloning and see no reason to hold back, and they think statements such as this one to be silly superstition. Be that as it may, we must continue to be a prophetic voice in the world. The fact that no one would listen to Jeremiah did not cause him to shut up. However, later generation could look back on his words, and understand why disaster came to the people who ignored him. If we experience something that makes the Nazi regime seem tame, those who survive will be able to look back and see that there were voices who spoke of a better way.
