Theology Notes
Theology is the queen of the sciences, and philosophy is her handmaiden.

Morning prayer included Ephesians 1:1-10 which is one of the most awesome and lofty passages in Holy Scripture. After a short greeting, St. Paul begins to bless God for giving us every spiritual blessing in Christ. We were chosen to be holy and blameless sons being redeemed and forgiven through His blood according to His grace. The purpose for all of this is to unite all things under Christ. The universe (heaven and earth, spiritual and physical) will be brought into unity under Christ.

I don't agree with some Calvinists who say that the "all" does not include every person. God's plan will somehow bring into unity those who love Him and those who reject Him. How that will be I cannot say, but I am not willing to redefine "all" in order to fit a system. I will also not take the "easy" road of the universalist, ignoring judgment passages such as Matthew 25:31-46 or Revelation 20:11-15. Instead, these truths must be held together in tension while we await the unfolding of God's plan.
