Not all signs of economic recovery have been positive [here]. Only 6,000 new jobs were created last month nationwide. On a positive note, I received notice of a possible contract today, so I am feeling a bit more optimistic than usual.

EarthThis image was created by combining hundreds of satellite photos of the Earth in order to produce an image with no cloud cover. It isn't a particularly new image. As a matter of fact, I have been using it as a background image for years. The full resolution image is 7MB, so you may want to grab the medium sized one which is only 374KB. [full | medium]

Changes in Gravitational FieldNot only is the Earth's magnetic field showing signs of change [here], but it seems the Earth's gravitational field is shifting in intriguing ways as well [here]. As I was reading about the changing gravitational field, I had the thought that the two changes could be correlated. If the gravitational shift is, in fact, caused by "molten rock oozing around in Earth’s core," then it seems possible that the Earth's magnetic field might also be affected.
