There's a really good article in the Washington Post this week about Netflix [here]. No, I'm not really obsessed with this topic, but I do think more people should check out the service. The article covers many of the most important pros and cons about the service. One thing they didn't mention, however, is how much time you save by not going to Blockbuster. How much time does the average renter spend browsing through the store trying to remember the title they wanted to rent? Then, only to find that it is out or not in stock at that store. With Netflix, you simply add a movie to your queue through the website and it is delivered as soon as it reaches the top of your queue. Of course, some films will be in high demand and might stay on your queue a little bit longer, but you will get the movie and you never have to wait in line or drive to and from the store multiple times. With Netflix, I see the movies I want to see and I only have to spend a few minutes on the Netflix site. |
