Draganflyer IIIThe Draganflyer II is an RC helicopter with four blades. I would definitely love one of these, but with a $749 price tag, it will be a while before I get one. The New York Times has an article about how it is using solid-state gyroscopes to make controlling this beast possible [here]. There's also a video showing it in action [here].

Blockbuster is putting the heat on NetFlix [here]. Blockbuster's new DVD rental service is comparable in price to NetFlix, but instead of receiving DVD's through mail, the DVD's will be rented out of Blockbuster store locations.

The nice thing about the Blockbuster service is that there is instant gratification, since you can go into the store at any time and rent any DVD. However, the selection available through Netflix is almost unlimited, whereas most Blockbuster locations have a very limited selection. Netflix also allows you to rate movies and then it gives you recomendations, much the way Amazon does for books. This is a nice feature, since it does a good job of bringing movies you will like to your attention.

Overall, I think the Netflix service offers more. The only feature that is really in Blockbuster's favor is the ability to get your DVD instantly, instead of waiting for it to arrive through the mail.
