All I can think of tonight, driving home after a pleasant gentle rain, a pleasant gentle night with friends, is the horror being unleashed in the cradle of civilization, by my own barbaric nation.

The news keeps reporting on the 16 U.S. and British casualities, killed in a helicopter crash. With all the passenger miles traveled in such a short time, I wonder if that statistic is any less or more likely to occur in an average holiday weekend in New York?

And I'm sorry the exchange rate, the Western life to the rest of the world, is so low right now.

I'm sorry at the irony that our abundance is being used to crush and destroy those who have nothing, to liberate them by obliterating them. How ironic, that our most civilized state, can't find a more innovative way to achieve world peace and democracy than inventing better and smarter and more efficient ways of killing those who don't agree with our imposition of freedom and justice.
