I wonder if we'll ever find out who's side God is on in any wars. Seems as if he's rooting for everyone. Which, I would think, would be more a role for Satan, wanting wanton destruction for all. I was thinking tonight that something that may meet my criteria for balancing my absolute opposition to the state executing people through the death penalty, and my distaste for murderers, and those who support the death penalty, would be a system that allows victim families to carry out an execution themselves, if a jury of peers condemns to death, with the caveat that they and their entire family would be sterilized and not permitted to adopt any children and that any children in the immediate family under the age of 10 would go to live in Quaker or Hutterite or Amish or Mennonite communities. But there's a host of civil rights problems inherent there as well. Sigh. 11:13:57 PM
