Started the day with a usability progression, including stimulating off-topic conversations with Stephanie Rosenbaum, Bogo Vatovec, and Karen Bachmann. Then I dropped in on a presentation about configuring an Apache web server, followed by a networking luncheon with some folks from southern California. The day's last session was another nearly bleeding-edge series including a lively bit on IM bots.

The closing gathering looked at STC history and future, with strong suggestions that it's high time to reinvent ourselves, our profession, and our Society. Many conference attendees skipped town early or hustled to check out and hit the airport. I'm spending the night here to get some rest before flying home tomorrow, in time for the Silicon Valley chapter meeting.
