IA and CM; or, What I Shoulda Said.... about the relationship of IA and CM.  [Bloug]

Lou "Polar Bear Book" Rosenfeld muses on the differences and relationships between content management (CM) and information architecture (IA). Which meshes with some of what I've been thinking, and what may well become the theme of my year as president of Silicon Valley STC: exploring how the disciplines and interests of technical communicators intersect with those of other professions, such as IA, interaction design, HCI, user experience, and so on. I think we have more in common than we might think, and more to gain by working together to demonstrate our value proposition to prospective employers.

We'll be exploring this in coming months, so chime in if you have something to add to the conversation.
