Doc blogs me blogging him, but in Radio's news aggregator it comes across smooshed together with another post:
Euan Semple: ...although
we have not come up with a preferable term to "user experience," I am
not merely a user. Nor, dear employer, am I "human capital." You don't
own me; you rent me.
Not that I mind being mistaken for a tall bearded Scotsman, but I don't
know if it's my aggregator or Doc's source. Oh, well, I welcome the 15
seconds of notoriety.
Update: Doc sez it was his goof, and he's fixed it. Thanks, Doc!
It also occurs to me that the rental metaphor might be a bit off;
perhaps it's contractors who are rented, and regular employees are
leased. Whatever, I just never liked the idea of being anyone's
"capital."
