The big difference between hurricanes and earthquakes: you can see the hurricane coming. In this case, I'm not so sure I'd want to be sitting in Katrina's path watching it come, nor am I so sure that I would want to know that a comparable earthquake was headed my way. I hope folks take the evacuation orders seriously.
