Home again. Crappy travel day. Splashed by traffic on a rainy cab hunt just like Carrie Bradshaw in the opening credits. Flight delayed from LGA. Thought I'd console myself with a nice expense acount steak. They were out of steak.

The dog was glad to see me, though.

The Washington Times says US strategy in rebel-held Ramadi may not be working...

...but Stars & Stripes reports that US brass says it's all part of a plan: "While U.S. troops in Iraq no longer patrol what is now being called 'no-go zones,' volatile areas such hotly contested cities such as Ramadi, Najaf, Fallujah and Samarra, the absence of forces has not created a safe haven for insurgents, the Pentagon’s top military leader said Tuesday."

Greensboro is Talking is unimpressed with the news coverage offered by central North Carolina's big new FM talk station. "It's sad and pathetic the way they are wasting this opportunity. And don't even get me started on their lack of local sports coverage."
