Downtown San Francisco. Pretty nice hotel, The Argent, that has NO FREAKING HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS in many of its rooms, including mine. Booked solid, no switching rooms. This will make working from here challenging. Memo to self: avoid staying at The Argent when in San Francisco.

Ronald Curry was perhaps the biggest recruit ever landed by Carolina, a two-sport star who had two frustrating careers in Chapel Hill. Nice to see this former quarterback and point guard emerge at wide receiver for the Raiders. He caught his first NFL touchdown pass yesterday, a 43-yard strike that crowned a 5-catch, 89-yard game.
