My back feels much better due to swimming, muscle relaxants, stretching, and shiatsu.  It still hurts to stand in one place for very long.   During the worst of the pain, I announced that I would gladly sacrifice my pinkies  for the promise of no more back pain.  I couldn't come up with anything more valuable than that.  I guess I would also sacrifice our cats.  I might sacrifice them anyway.

My dad came back from his honeymoon in Sicily.  The report:  Mt. Etna is stupendous.  The pasta is top drawer.  Palermo is dirty and mafia ridden.  Syracuse is amazing.  the drivers are crazy.
