Sorry Joe...
I must give a big apology to Joe. I misspelled his name in my Links at right. Having a last name with multiple silent letters and a first name that isn't common with an even more uncommon spelling, I've grown sensitive to making sure people spell my name right.
Copyrights...
That's it. I'm bringing out the soap box. There's been a lot of posts around the web on Copyrights recently. Here's how I view the situation.
- If I buy a DVD. I am allowed to back up copy it as it is MY property. I paid for it. If you loan me the DVD then I don't have the right to copy it as I didn't pay for it.
- If I buy a CD. I am allowed to back up copy it as it is MY property. I paid for it too. If you loan me the CD then I don't have the right to copy it as I didn't pay for it.
- If I buy a game/program. I am allowed to back up copy it as it is MY property. I paid for it. If you loan me the game/program then I don't have the right as I didn't pay for it.
If YOU don't like that and would like to pursue the matter than fine, I don't have to buy your product. I don't have to go to your concerts or see your movies. And under the Constitution, I have the right to urge others not to either.
The whole point is, once the checkbook comes out and I put down money for something, it's not yours anymore. I paid for my portion of it and I can use it as I want. If you don't like my point of view well, here's a quarter go call someone who gives a shit.
