Ramblings.
I have three new stocks to put on my website tomorrow. Wal-Mart, Target, and Kohl's have been there since October with quarterly updates.
Between the beginning date of October 18, 2002 and the ending date of July 11, 2003, TGT was up 22.3%, KSS was down 0.3%, and WMT was down 1.2%. The S&P Index was up 11.8%
During that period, the maximum increase for each was 28.9% for TGT, 26.7% for KSS, and 0.75% for WMT.

These are not easy distinctions to make considering the ongoing inventive power of perception.
When we dislike a situation, we tend to put all our attention on how things should be rather than how they are.
When our attention is primarily directed to how wrong things are, we lose our power to act effectively.
