Non byte compiled scripting languages Speed kills. "Java is slow because it's a byte-code interpreted language with JIT compilation. So use [foo], which is a fully interpreted scripting language!" [The Desktop Fishbowl] Actually I'm interested - which scripting languages are not byte compiled? I know that python, perl, ruby, and tcl are all byte compiled. Hell the basis for perl6, parrot, will also have a JIT. So, who out there still ships non byte compiling scripting languages? 3:56:00 PM
